Today I'm going to show you how we turned a basic dresser into our entertainment center. This actually happened by accident but I'm glad it did because I love how it turned out!
I recently finished up an end table using sanding and soft wax techniques. After finishing the project I realized that awhile ago I'd painted a similar end table in the same colors using dark wax and without sanding. I thought it'd be fun to do a little side-by-side to show off the different finishes.
I am beyond excited to show off the before and after pictures of our kitchen! Our goal here was to give the kitchen a more stylish, country look. Although much of the kitchen was finished shortly after we moved in the back splash and grout work were just completed last week.
We have another chalk paint transformation on the blog for you today. Recently we installed a television in our office above the fireplace and I wanted to add a coffee table to this new area. I tracked this one down on Craigslist for $20 and decided to chalk paint it.
Today I want to show you three simple projects we did to completely change the look of our kitchen- and it all cost under $185! Now, if we had the money, sure I'd love to put in granite counters and custom cabinets but that's not really the situation we (or most people) are in.
My most recent home project was a two-toned nightstand in our guest bedroom. The nightstand had originally been spray painted black which just wasn't going to work in this space.
I'm so excited to show off our guest bedroom makeover today. I've featured a few pictures of this room before when we put in the pine flooring but I haven't shown the completed look. This room was arguably the worst in the house when we bought it. The carpet was covered in gum (we think a young teenager was in this room before) and also smelled and had some staining because of the pig that had also lived here (no joke).
Today I have a simple but effective post for you. As we got ready to renovate our kitchen (full post on that coming soon) I knew something had to be done about our dingy appliances. I've been cleaning the stainless steel sink weekly since moving in and nothing was helping it look like new again.
