Today I'm going to show you how we turned a basic dresser into our entertainment center. This actually happened by accident but I'm glad it did because I love how it turned out!
I recently finished up an end table using sanding and soft wax techniques. After finishing the project I realized that awhile ago I'd painted a similar end table in the same colors using dark wax and without sanding. I thought it'd be fun to do a little side-by-side to show off the different finishes.
We have another chalk paint transformation on the blog for you today. Recently we installed a television in our office above the fireplace and I wanted to add a coffee table to this new area. I tracked this one down on Craigslist for $20 and decided to chalk paint it.
Hi all! Today I'm so excited to announce that I'm now available to create commissioned pieces for your home! I know so many people who love the look of chalk painted furniture but either don't have the time or the desire to try it themselves. I'm here to help.
My most recent home project was a two-toned nightstand in our guest bedroom. The nightstand had originally been spray painted black which just wasn't going to work in this space.
I'm so excited to show off our guest bedroom makeover today. I've featured a few pictures of this room before when we put in the pine flooring but I haven't shown the completed look. This room was arguably the worst in the house when we bought it. The carpet was covered in gum (we think a young teenager was in this room before) and also smelled and had some staining because of the pig that had also lived here (no joke).
Ok, so by now you've seen me use Chalk Paint on a lot of wooden furniture- but it really has so much more versatility than that. Here I'm going to show you how I used it on some inexpensive lamps I purchased at the Christmas Tree Shops to give them a whole new look.
I haven't done a post in awhile of the room makeovers we've done in our home so next up is the office. This room had some good bones- an electric fireplace, hardwood floors, and gorgeous wood trim. However, that fireplace and trim were all painted in a deep plum color and the walls were a deep forest green. Hey, if that's your thing I don't want to knock you, but it just didn't work for us.
